MEET FUZZ ATX
We started Fuzz ATX because as Austin pet owners ourselves, it always felt like a leap of faith when hiring pet care. It’s hard to know what questions to ask and how companies are (or are not 👀) vetting their care givers. Sometimes hard to know what to expect when you’re away - will you get updates and pictures? How often will the sitter be at your home?
We don’t want our clients to have to guess about their pet care and this is the heart of what Fuzz ATX is all about. Read on to learn more about how our team is vetted and trained, our standards of care and commitments to our clients and more.

THE TEAM
We take the vetting and training of our team seriously and provide two weeks of paid training.
Vetting
At Fuzz ATX we only work with care givers with previous pet care experience that goes beyond caring for friend and family’s pets. In addition to a county, state and national level background and driving check, we speak to multiple professional references for each team member.
Last, each team member spends time 1:1 time training and their safety and handling must be approved before they work solo.
Training
Our two week paid training includes Pet CPR certification as well as classes on preventing pet loss, canine body language and behavior and more.
We continue training on a monthly basis with all team members.
Pet CPR Certification
All team members are Pet CPR certified and carry a pet first-aid kit, in addition to other safety supplies, while working with animals.
A HIGHER STANDARD OF CARE
We only work with W2 employees at Fuzz ATX, so you be confident our team is trained, supervised and supported. No gig work here!
Consistent Caregivers - Although not always possible, we do our best to provide the same care givers so that pets and our team can build a bond over time.
1:Household walks - We prioritize safety and building a 1:1 connection with your pets so all of our walk are just with one household at a time.
Positive Reinforcement - Fuzz ATX utilizes only positive reinforcement when working with animals and trains on consent based interaction.

Always meet and approve your caregivers You’ll always meet and sign-off on anyone working in your home or with your pets.
2x Daily Updates w/ photos We always send two updates per day when we’re pet sitting with many photos. You’ll never have to ask for an update!
Back-up and Support Hiring Fuzz ATX means your care giver is never solo in the event of an emergency or if sitter to become unavailable due to illness.
